Sequestrat(e, v. P.t. and p.p. sequestrat(e, sequestret, sequestrated. [e.m.E. sequestrate (1546), late L. sequestrare. Cf. Sequester v.] tr.

1. a. Of a person: To remove, separate, exclude (fra, from (the society of) another). Also, once, reflex. b. Of things: To remove, put away; set aside (fra something, also, once, to someone's use), freq. of money set aside for some purpose.a. pres. c1650 Spalding II 50.
