Rescissory, -ie, adj. Also: -sciscor-, -scissior-, -cissor- and -ye, -ey. [17th c. Eng. recissorie (1605), late L. recissōri-, f. reciss-, p.p. stem of rescindere Re(s)cind v.] Rescissory. a. Of a legislative measure, or part of one.specif. Applied to the act of 1661, in which the acts of all the parliaments from 1633 were rescinded. 1639 Acts V 601/1.
