(? chiefly north. and midl.) mikell (Orm), -il, etc., e.m.E. mykyll, mickle, midl. and south. ME. michel etc. (also muchel, mockel, etc.), OE. micel (also mycell), ON. mikell (also mykell): cf. also Mekil(l and Mukill.]
