Birsket, Birscat, n.¹ Also: birschet, birskat, byrskart. [e.m.E. bisket(te, -kitte, -quette, ME. bysket, -cute, -qwyte, besquite (1330), OF. bescuit. The intrusive r (giving also the form Briscat) appears to be peculiar to Sc.] Biscuit. Usually attrib. with breid.(1) 1506 Treas. Acc. III. 342.
