YUNK, n.1 A stake marble in a game of marbles (Lth., Lnk., Ayr. 1974).Ayr. 1953 Ayrshire Post (28 Aug.):
Any yunks knocked out of the circle were pocketed by the player; should his plunker land in the circle he paid forfeit by putting a yunk in the gugs.
