1. tr. To move, affect, make an impression on, put about.Abd. 1921 T.S.D.C.:
It'll never yoorn 'im.

2. int. To move, to move about in a lazy or listless manner (Bnff. 1866 Gregor D. Bnff. 213; Per. 1882 Jam.).

[Orig. doubtful, in 1. poss. from O.Sc. urn, to cause pain or distress to, 1475, of obscure orig. See Ern, v. 2. may be a different word.]
