UNTAILYED, ppl.adj. Also untailzied. Of an estate: having no prescribed order of succession, unentailed. See Tailyie, v.Sc. 1751 W. Macfarlane Geneal. Coll. (S.H.S.) II. 497:
This Lady is an heir female of the house of Chisholm the heir of Line of the family and got the Untailzied part of the Estate.
Sc. 1761 Dunlop Papers (1953) III. 111:
He makes a new will leaving all his Esteats Tailyed and untailyed to Lady Jean's son.
