UNSAIRED, ppl.adj. Also unsaird; †onsairt (Abd.). Sc. forms of Eng. unserved, not served or attended to, freq. of beggars turned away without receiving charity (Sh., Per. 1973). See Ser, v.Per. a.1843 J. Stewart Sketches (1857) 6:
Never yet unsair'd gaed beggar frae his door.
Fif. 1864 W. D. Latto T. Bodkin 172:
Had ye sent them frae yer door unsaired.
Sc. 1972 Proverb:
Them that comes unbidden, sits unsaired, i.e. don't push in where you are not wanted.
