TOY, v. Sc. tr. usage: to treat (a person) in a summary, careless or frivolous fashion (Rxb. 1972); with off: to dismiss curtly, send packing. Only intr. in this sense in Eng.Ags. 1880 A. M. Soutar Hearth Rhymes 95:
Wi' him ye winna be annoyed; He kens you'll nae be easy toyed.
