TIBBIE THIEFIE, n. Also Tibbie Fithie. The common sandpiper, Tringoides hypoleucus (ne.Sc. 1903 G. Sim Fauna of "Dee" 175, 1951 Abd. Press and Jnl. In some localities this bird is known as "Tibbie Fithie."
