TEERIE-ORRIE, n. The game of throwing a ball against a wall, catching it and bouncing it in various ways, appar. from the nonsense words eerie-orrie used in a rhyme in the game (Slg., Fif. 1972).Fif. 1909 J. C. Craig Sangs o' Bairns 102:
