SWIVELTREE, n. comb. The swingle-tree of a plough (Ork., Per. 1972). Also in Eng. dial., now obs.Kcd. 1933 Scots Mag. (Feb.) 331:
[He would] unloose the chains from the horses' britchens and hook them up to the swiveltrees.
