SWEECH, n. A sweeping blow, a swipe, a swish. Phr. to lat sweech, to let fly, make a swipe at (Ags. 1972). [swiç]Ags. 1894 J. B. Salmond My Man Sandy (1899) 76, 83:
He lut sweech at the ba'. . . . He made a sweech wi' the bissam shaft.
