STUGG, v. To thicken, to make stiff, esp. of food, to mix milk with meal to a paste. Hence adj. stuggal, stuggy, thick, solid (Ork. 1971); of persons: stout, stocky.Ork. 1929 Marw.:
He stugged it weel wi' meal. A stuggal chiel. Stuggal porridge.
