SPARKIE, adj. Also sparky. Sc. usages: emitting sparks (Abd., Kcd. 1971). Also fig. bright in understanding, sharp, quick-witted; lively (Per. 1971).Sc. 1827 Carlyle Ger. Romance II. 298:
