GROSET FAIR. Also Grozete, etc. See Groset. The name of various fairs held in late July and early August when gooseberries are in season: 1. At Kilmarnock (Ayr. 1856 Ayr Advertiser (7 Aug.), 1953 J. E. Shaw Ayrshire 34, Ayr. 1975); 2. At Callander in Perthshire (Per. 1890 J. D. Marwick Fairs 28); 3. At Rutherglen (Lnk. Id. 103).
