WATSONIAN, prop.n. A pupil or former pupil of George Watson's Boys' or Ladies' Colleges in Edinburgh, now amalgamated. [After George Watson (†1723), accountant of the Bank of Scotland, whose educational endowment was used to establish the boys' school in 1741 and the girls' school in 1870.]
