SHED, n.2 Sc. usage: a meeting or formally constituted group of the Corporation of Squaremen, an independent offshoot of Freemasons started in Edinburgh in 1903.Sc. 1946 J. S. Seggie Corporation of Squaremen 19:
It is believed that in no case was a meeting of Squaremen termed a Lodge, but was designated as a Shed. This distinguished the Squaremen from the Masons, and at the present time (1946) the meeting of the Corporation is termed a “Shed” meeting.
