DAZZLE, v., intr. Sc. usage: to be dazzled, become confused, fail, of the sight. Obs. in Eng. in 17th c.Dmf. 1866 R. Simpson Cottars of the Glen 102:
Ane o' them missed his grip and fell down into the dark pool right over the head. My een dazzled.
