CONFEER, v., n. Also confear. [kɔn′fir]
I. v. To fit, match, correspond, be in proportion.Abd. 1975:
I got the joiner tae mak anither leg tae confeer.
II. n. In phr. in confear, in comparison, proportionately (Abd. 1975).Abd. 1923 R. L. Cassie Heid or Hert viii.:
A' thing is grown dear, bit there's far mair siller, in confear, amo' han's than i' yer fader's day.
