SMOODGE, n., v. [smudʒ]
I. n. A drink, a quantity of liquor, in phr. to hae a guid smoodge in one, to be tipsy (Arg. 1930).
II. v. To be under the influence of alcohol, to be mildly tipsy, to be in liquor (Arg. 1936 L. McInnes S. Kintyre 12).
