SKLENIE, adj. Also skleeny. Thin, slender, skinny (Fif. 1825 Jam.).Fif. a.1865 Harp Per. (Ford 1893) 182:
His black gown an' beads, an' his lang skleeny hauns.

[Orig. doubtful. Phs. a reduced variant of sklenner, Sclender, but the formation is not clear, phs. by conflation with skinny.]
