I. v. To sprinkle, scatter, spill in small quantities (Kcd. 1825 Jam., s.v. skinkle; Ags. 1958).

II. n. Also in dim. form skeeglie. A little drop (Ags., Per. 1970).Ayr. 1970:
A skeegle o' the cratur — a small nip of whisky.
