SETNIN, n. Also settnin, setnen, saetnin. A lamb that is fed and housed under cover in the winter (Sh. 1866 Edm. Gl., 1914 Angus Gl., Sh. 1970). [′sɛtnin]Sh. 1897 Shetland News (24 July):

Ta see if doo wid a bocht some o' my setnins.
