1. A reduced form of Sall, q.v., the auxiliary of the future tense.

2. Erroneously used for am, phs. due to a misunderstanding of 1. as if = is (Dmf. 1795 Stat. Acc.1 XIV. 429).Sc. 1824 Cornhill Mag. (Sept. 1932) 272:
The Deil ha' me if I'se a bit fear'd for that fallow.
Kcb. 1897 J. Morrison Miss McGraw 15:
I'se nae waur the doctor says.

3. Erroneously used for hae, have. The form is phs. meant to represent I'se hae. See Hae, v.1, B. 3.Ags. 1888 Barrie Auld Licht Idylls 35:
I'se nae time to argy-bargy wi' ye.
