SATEERICAL, adj., n. Also saterical. Sc. forms of Eng. satirical (Sc. 1827 Wilson Noctes Amb. (1855) II. 30). See P.L.D. § 45. Used in Galt as a n. in pl. = satire, satiric talk or writing. [sə′tirɪkəl]Ayr. 1826 Galt Last of Lairds xiv.:
Ye'll no mak your plack a bawbee in striving wi' me in satericals.
