REGALL, n. = Regality. Used attrib. in quot.Lnk. 1703 W. Grossart Shotts (1880) 251:
I was necessitat to take ane other [proxy] for Robert Wardrop from the regall clerk.

[O.Sc. has regal, id., 1440. But the word may be a misreading of a MS. contraction of regality.]
