PLINTH, n. Sc. building usage: the layer of bricks or stones at the top of a wall, the uppermost projecting part of a cornice, “the eaves course or wall head course” (Sc. 1952 Builder (20 June) 942). Rare or obs. in Eng.Ayr. 1863 J. Paterson Hist. Ayr. & Wgt. I. 216:
The plinth at the top of the walls was composed of the same material.
