PARAGO, adj. Also paragray. Of wool or worsted: greyish in colour, made up of a mixture of black and white threads, marled (Ork. 1929 Marw.).

[Phs. a variant of obs. Eng. paragon, a kind of mixed worsted or poplin material, which may have been popular in this particular colour in Ork. O.Sc. parego, 1631.]
