OUTWARD, adj. Also ootward. Sc. usage: in manner, cold, aloof, distant, reserved (Rxb. 1825 Jam., 1923 Watson W.-B., Rxb. 1964). Hence ootwardness, aloofness, distance, reserve (Ib.).
