ORDEROUS, n. Also orderus, erdros (Jak.). A wooden bar nailed on the front of a plough-beam, to which the traces were attached, orig. the plough-beam.Sh. 1732–5 Old-Lore Misc. IV. iii. 121:
A piece of tree for an orderous of a plough.
