MOZIE, adj. Also mozy.

1. Dark, swarthy.Sc. 1808 Jam.:
A black mozy body.

2. Sharp in disposition, sour-tempered (Ayr. 825 Jam.).

[Orig. doubtful. Phs. extended meanings from Moze, either from the notion of swarthiness from a hairy unshaven appearance associated with a surly uncouth disposition or by the same semantic development as in Cankert.]
