MOUG, v. To strike a spinning top from the circle of play, thereby earning the right to confiscate it. [mʌug]Clc. c.1900:
A ring was drawn roughly 6 feet across, and each player, on placing a peerie, usually a blemished veteran, into the ring, took his turn at dabbing them out or mougin them as we said. All you mouged out were yours for keeps.
