MEDICK, n. Also methick. The dandelion, Taraxacum officinale (Bnff.4 1926, Bnff. 1962). Adj. methickie, covered with dandelions (Id.), of a field.Bnff.2 c.1930:
Jamie gether't an oxterfu' o' medicks to feed his rabbits.

[A transference of Eng. medick, a plant of the genus Medicago.]
