LERRIE, n. The dragonet fish, Callionymus lyra or maculatus (Abd. 1878 Trans. Nat. Hist. Soc. Abd. 90).
[A corruption of lyra, a lyre. the second part of the Linnaean name for the fish, so called from the plaintive sound made by the fish when caught. Cf. Lyrie, n.2]You may wish to vary the format shown below depending on the citation style used.
