LANTA, n. A game of marbles (see quot.).Gall. 1955 Gall. Gazette (8 Oct.) 4:
As he remembers the game, the “Lanta” was the starting line and was made about four or five feet from the Hog which was the circle where the marbles were placed at the beginning of the game.
