KUB, n., v. Also coob. [kub]
I. n. A seal, esp. a young seal (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928), Sh. 1960). Dim. kubi, used as a call to coax a seal (Ib.).
II. v. Of a seal: to bring forth young (Sh. 1866 Edm. Gl., coob, 1914 Angus Gl.; Cai. 1960); also of a rabbit or hare (Cai. 1960).
