KIRSOR, n. Also kirser(t). A tabu-name for a cat used by fishermen at sea (Sh. 1883 J. R. Tudor Ork. and Sh. 658; Ork. 1884 R. M. Fergusson Rambles 166; Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928), Sh. 1960).
