JUND, n., v. Also joond, chund. [Ork. tʃund]

I. n. A heavy blow, a jolt (Ork. 1889 Ellis E.E.P. V. 800, jund, 1929 Marw., chund).Ork. 1880 Dennison Sketch-Bk. 27:
The minister looted ower the poopit an' gae Willie a joond on the heid.

II. v. To move with a jolt or jerk.Ork. 1880 Ib. 118:
His head banged doon the euly lamp, His ither shuther junded ap An whumbled the speun-cubbie.
