ILL-SWEELT, adj. Ill-bred, rough. Also appar., with double ppl. ending, ill-swilded, “unwieldy” (Ork. 1929 Marw.), though this may be a different word.Ayr. 1838 J. Morrison M'Ilwham Papers Pref. iv.:
Never did I see sic a stramash as that Rafrilan body, ill-sweelt tyke that he is, has made o' my bit letter.
