HEE-NO, n. A children's game, similar to “hide-and-seek.”Ayr. 1880 per J. M. Begg:
The one who is “het” stays in the “den” with eyes covered. The rest conceal themselves and when hidden call “hee-no.” When they see a chance they try to reach the den without being caught by the one who is “het” who is searching for them.
