HAILUMLY, adv. Also haleumly, -ie; halumlie, -imlie; helimly (Abd. 1825 Jam.); healemlee. Certainly, completely, actually, truly, undoubtedly (n.Sc. 1808 Jam.). Mostly in phr. to think hailumly, to feel quite sure.Abd. 1768 A. Ross Helenore 8:
For fan I fand you, I thought haleumlie, That ye wad never speak again to me.
Abd. 1824 G. Smith Douglas 72:
Mind ye ware tint; an' thought, halumlie, That ye was fairly tint for ance an' aye. [Ib. 25, halimlie.]
