GUNDIE, -Y, adj. Greedy, voracious (Rxb. 1825 Jam.). Also fig. Hence gundie-guts, a nickname for a greedy person or one of voracious appetite (Rxb. 1825 Jam., ‡1923 Watson W.-B.).Sc. 1712 J. Arbuthnot John Bull ii. ii.:
They gave one another nick-names: she called him Gundy-guts and he called her Lousy Peg.
