GUIDABLY, adv. Also gudably, -li, -lee. Probably, possibly (Sh. 1866 Edm. Gl., 1914 Angus Gl., gudabli); “easily; without hindrance” (Angus); almost, pretty near. [′g(j)ødəbli]Sh. 1836 Gentleman's Mag. II. 591:
Du widna gùdablee a seen a prettiar konkurrans fre Ska ta Sumbrooch-hedd.
Sh.10 1955:
Dis box hadds guidably twa ston. It's guidably ten o'clock.
