GEACH, Geich, n., v. Sc. thieves' slang.

I. n. A thief; also thieving, cabbaging.Sc. 1821 D. Haggart Life 103:
We observed the fair swarming with snibs and geachs of every description.
Ayr. 1909 P.C. Carragher Saltcoats 122:
The weaver . . . thought it no harm to work ‘a bit o' geich' by stretching the warp and saving the woof.

II. v. To steal.Sc. 1821 D. Haggart Life 73:
Two wedge table-feeders, and a small dross scout, . . . which I knew had been geached.
