FEENICH, n. Also †finzach. The knot grass, Polygonum aviculare, esp. its flower head and seed (Bnff., Abd. 1916 T.S.D.C. II.). [′fi:n(j)ɪç]Abd. 1735 J. Arbuthnot Buchan Farmers (1811) 27:
Such is the stubbornncss of grass, finzach and sorrel, that they often baffle the harrow.
