FAAR, n.1 Also far. An epidemic disease, of men or animals (Sh. 1866 Edm. Gl.; 1908 Jak. (1928), far), usually of some indefinite or obscure nature (Sh.11 1951); a disease of sheep (Edm.).Sh. 1900 E.D.D.:
When a disease becomes general and yet is not supposed to be infectious it is called a Faar.
