1. Of persons: contentious, disagreeable (Sh. 1914 Angus Gl., ettersom; Sh.10, Bnff.2, Abd.15, Ags.19 1946).
2. Of weather: bitterly cold (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928), etersom, 1914 Angus Gl.; Sh.10 1950).
