EENIL, Eindle, v. To be jealous, suspicious (of); to defame, slander (Sh. 1900 E.D.D., eindle). Also iendel (Sh. 1914 Angus Gl.) and jendl (Sh. 1866 Edm. Gl.).Fif. 1825 Jam.2:
Applied to a woman who suspects the fidelity of her husband. She is said to eenil him. Nearly obs.
