CURLY-GREEN, n. comb. Usu. pl.: curly colewort, Brassica oleracea (Bnff.2, Fif.10, Slg.3, Edb.1 1941; Rxb. 1923 Watson W.-B., 1941 (per Lnk.11)). Also found in Eng. dial. Cf. Curlie.Edb. 1894 P. H. Hunter J. Inwick vii.:
A man wha disna ken . . . dockens frae curly greens.
